I don't know if it's a type of person, but I am someone who goes out and doesn't get the pasta with a red sauce. The reason I don't get red sauce is the same reason that the lactose intolerant don't get a cream sauce: it hurts my stomach. Red sauces have the tendency to be too acidic, so I usually avoid them.
However, I was recently in Merritt Island for Valentine's weekend, and we visited Hawksbill Bar and Grill to grab lunch while it rained. When you order an entree at some places, you also have the option of getting a soup or a salad. I will always opt for a soup over a salad, and on the menu was a Tomato Tortellini Soup.
This soup was so good that I could've eaten two bowls of it instead of the cup size and the entree that I ordered. Tomato soups are usually too salty for me, but this one had the perfect blend of tomato and basil. I didn't know that some people put tortellini in their tomato soup, but these tortellinis were perfectly tender and the cheese inside complimented the tomato soup base perfectly. It was everything I didn't know I wanted.

Hawksbill Bar and Grill can be reached at the following places:

I'm also now looking for a tomato tortellini soup recipe to try and recreate the experience in my own home. Do you think you have one for me? Or do you think you have another place that might do it better? Is there a tomato soup I can get from the store that might be just as good, if not better? Tell me in the comments below.
Thanks for taking the time to read the blog. Until the next one, I hope you have some tasty times.
